Under Cabinet Microwaves - Easy Installation in Few Steps
One of the most important appliances of kitchen is the under cabinet microwave oven, which has very quickly replaced the old and conventional ovens. A kitchen's completeness is determined by the presence of refrigerator, an oven and a source of water. Though, its features cannot always be highlighted, but setting the position of microwaves is equally important to get the best results.
In many kitchens of big cities and flats in inner city, kitchen space is very less which needs to be taken care of, while installing microwave oven. The space problem can be solved using the modern microwaves which have been designed to save some space on the countertops of kitchen, and to save some space for cooking. The functions performed are almost similar to that of a regular microwave and these products make use of smart sensor technology for reduction of cooking time and reheating. Also these are much easier to clean.
As these microwaves have to be established underneath the cabinets, they have been kept quite light in comparison to the conventional types, and proper care must be taken while installations to avoid the possibility of any accidents. The installation of under cabinet microwaves is an easy procedure which can be done quite easily if followed step by step.
Using a measuring tape, centre of the installation as area is measured and is marked. Also the wall studs are marked. The centre of the wall template is then aligned in line with the marking on the back wall and the cabinet template is then tapped to the underside of kitchen's cabinet.
The mounting plate needs to be secured in at least one of the studs and holes are drilled into the circles using screws of different sizes, chosen according to the holes being drilled. The mounting plate is held against a wall and aligned with the centre which is finally secured into the walls. These are some very easy processes in the installation of under cabinet microwaves.
A hole of 3/8" is drilled wherever indicated in the template of under cabinet and also another hole of 2" is drilled to make room for power supply cord. The under cabinet microwave is then lifted and it is hung at the bottom of the mounting plate, with the resumed power supply from the hole. The screws are then tightened in the final stage of setup and the gap between cabinet and microwave is closed.
