Fast, Tasty Coffee With A New Invention
Coffee pods, a new invention finding their way into coffee enthusiast's collections, are gaining popularity in recent years. Made with a design that can be used once and thrown away, these tasty treats make a perfect cup of Joe. Special machines that can take coffee pods push hot water through the pod, in a process not unlike a hasty version of making hot tea with teabags.
Types of Coffee Modules Available On The Market
There are several different varieties of coffee pods and pod coffee makers. You are likely familiar with at least two of them: a flattened pod that looks like a UFO made out of a tea bag, and a short plastic cup about the size of a one time use coffee creamer.
Pod Style Coffee: How It Works From Box To Mug
Once you put your single serve coffee unit into the brewer machine, you might wonder what exactly is happening in there. Pods that look like bags of tea go inside a brewer that forces heated water onto and through the pod, which brews through the enclosed grinds and down into your mud. If you are using a K-cup, one of the mini plastic cup pods, your brewer will make holes in the top and bottom, sending heated water through the coffee and small filter inside, using gravity to flow downwards.
No More Five Dollar Coffee: Saving Money With Coffee Pods
Sipping cups of hot java is a familiar act to people who drink coffee often, who may buy it at a locally owned coffee house or a big chain of stores that serve up coffee. If you visit one of these places every morning, or several times a day, you are already spending a lot of money on your coffee drinking habits, for sure. Why not save your money by buying coffee pods, which typically cost under a buck, and keep your money instead of giving it to commercial stores?
Try Out Pod Coffee For Yourself
If something saves you money, time, and tastes terrific, what do you have to lose? With delicious flavors of coffee, tea and even hot chocolate available, and all at the touch of a button, these pods are definitely the way to go for hot beverages at home.
