The Best In Wine Cooling From Danby

Danby Wine Cooler comes from a Canadian household appliance company that offers wine coolers in a wide variety of sizes and storage capacities for every need and budgets. Danby Wine Coolers are available in two kinds of refrigeration units, dual zone coolers and single zone coolers.

Dual zone coolers by Danby and the much larger capacity wine cellars have two separate compartments for red and white wines. The upper zone space houses red wines that can be stored at 55 degrees F. The bottom section holds white and sparkling wines that are stored at cooler temperatures between 41 to 50 degrees F or 5 to 10 degrees Celsius.

The size of the wine coolers is determined by their holding capacity, measured by the number of the regular sized wine bottles (750 ml) that can be stored. The smallest Danby unit, the DWC 620PL-SC, holds 6 bottles. This is offered in an attractive platinum finish while the next model is offered only in black. This is one of their countertop models for storage on a kitchen counter. The other small cooler is the model DWC1233B2-SC that has a holding capacity of 12 bottles. The other models in the Danby line have capacities of 17, 35, 38, 45 and 50 bottles. There are coolers above 35 bottle capacity which are called wine cellars but these are essentially the same type of wine storage and refrigeration units.

The smallest models that range from 6 to 17 holding capacity are only single temperature units. The smallest dual zone wine cooler is the model DWC283BIS that holds up to 30 bottles. Its red wine section has enough space for 10 red wine bottles. The bottom zone is for white wine, which has the capacity for 20 bottles. Unfortunately if you drink more red wine than white, you cannot switch the cooling temperatures for each section. These are preset by the factory.

There is also a humidor to maintain the perfect level of humidity at 50% so the wine corks do not shrink. The humidor goes in the red wine section but if you use it, it will reduce the space for red wine storage down to 4 bottles.

There is a five year limited warranty on the Danby wine coolers. There is a one year coverage on parts and labor. A four year limited warranty on sealed systems and parts only is included as part of this package.

Reviewers who have bought Danby coolers overall agree that they are a great value for the economic wine consumer, but there are problems with packaging that does lead to damage. Other complaints say that customer service is very slow, although some say customer service was extremely responsive and replacement parts were sent quickly. Other minor comments were complaining about the noise of the motor, condensation problems and the inability on some of the models to maintain certain temperatures. However, most were very happy with their coolers and some even continue buying from the company, acquiring larger coolers.

Wine coolers are ideal for storing your entire collection of wineand can conveniently store and chill your favorite red and white wines.. One of the most popular and affordable wine cooler is the Danby Wine Cooler, which has found its way into many kitchens and wine cellars.
