Nothing beats an ice cold drink during hot blistering summer days and resting after an intense workout at the gym. Drinks with lots of ice cubes in them would be the most welcome. Those of us lucky to have ice cube makers within the fridge can have a taste of a drinks with ice. However, what if there a lot of people who want to have an icy drink but cannot since there is not enough ice? The answer then could be to get a compact ice machine.
This machine is basically one that just makes ice in large quantities. Very much like a refrigerator, it produces much lower temperatures to create ice. As it is compact it can be positioned almost anywhere, whether it be under the bar, under the counter, or even on the counter itself.
Apart from its advantage of it making ice in great quantities, the added advantage is its size. Being compact, it is ideal for small establishments like cafes and small restaurants, the office and even the home. Not requiring any additional wiring or installation, it is simply plugged into the wall and left alone to do its job.
Since its job is to make ice, it does it well and it does it fast. One can generate about twelve ice cubes every 6 to 8 minutes. This means one can have around 120 ice cubes in one hour!
Apart from the volume of ice it can make, one can also choose the size of the cubes depending on the need. More modern models of this device also come fitted with a water filter. Thus you get fast and clean ice also.
These machines also come in different styles to say the least, or diverse exterior finishes. Popular finishes are white, bisque, and stainless and titanium finishes. Depending on the brand and make, some have even brighter finishes and colors. It is always advisable to get a neutral color however so you can practically place it anywhere you choose and it will not be an eyesore.
